About the Event

Learn to paint a traditional Old Master still life as typified by Chardin. I will show you step by step how to approach making an accurate study of a Chardin. You will be able to ask questions as I show you two entirely different ways of starting this painting (Ebauche and Grisaille). We cover modelling, shading, blending, softening, and glazing. This is something that I taught to many painters of all abilities. You will be amazed at how successful your studies can be following the guidance that you will be given. The skills once mastered can be used to paint all still life subjects with greater confidence and success.
