An exclusive, fully tailored day in my studio designed for and with you to turbocharge your practice.

This is the most focused way to move your painting forward. You set the brief—by genre or subject—and I shape the day around technical, creative, or commercial mentoring to suit you. Whether you want to master glazing, strengthen composition, develop a distinctive style, or build a gallery-ready portfolio, we’ll work exactly where it matters most for your practice.

Who I am: I’m an award-winning oil painter, Royal College of Art (RCA) graduate, Paris Salon Laureate and RCA visiting lecturer, with work in the UK Government Art Collection, a public gallery solo show record, dozens of gallery shows and opens, and two decades of mentoring painters at every level.

 

The Day at a Glance

10:00 – 16:00 (with a 1-hour lunch)
A typical day might include:

• Goal-setting & diagnostic critique — clarify what success looks like today

• Targeted demonstration — methods and materials aligned to your aims

• Guided studio practice — hands-on work with step-by-step coaching

• Review & roadmap — concrete next steps, tailored exercises, and reading/viewing list, ideal if you plan recurring days to build a fuller bespoke program

Landscape, figure, portrait, still life, abstraction—bring references or works-in-progress, or we can develop from scratch.

Prices and Packages

One Day Only (North Norfolk Studios) 

Book your 1–2–1 studio day for £1,250 — tell me your goals, and I’ll design a day that helps you get there.

Recurring Days (North Norfolk Studios) 

Book a sequence of 121 studio days, so you can can bring work back each month for further mentoring first day is £1250, subsequent days £1000​

3. Attend your bespoke one to one face to face class.

 

FAQs

​

Is it suitable for beginners or professionals?
Both. The day is diagnostic and tailored to your level.

​

Can we work on my existing pieces?
Yes—bring works-in-progress or start fresh. We can also build a mini-project you’ll continue after the day if you’d like to book multiple sessions.  

​

Can we cover both painting and portfolio strategy?
Absolutely. We can split the day between studio practice and professional development. It’s your day. 

​

Do you provide materials?
Yes I have all the oil materials you need for the day here, just bring anything bespoke you’d prefer to use.

​

Do you provide lunch and refreshments?
Yes. A light lunch is included, plus as much tea and coffee as you like.

​

Where is the studio?
Main studio: Syderstone North Norfolk. PE31 8SD. 30 minutes drive from Kings Lynn Station . One hour from Norwich station (conections to Liverpool St Station). We can arrange transfers from Norwich station at no extra charge. 

​

Accomodation
 ​North Norfolk: We start at 10am to allow you to travel, many  short lets are available in the Syderstone/ North Norfolk area. 

​

Can I book multiple dates?
Yes, and at a discount for extra days after the first one.
