In this class I will be looking at the career of the Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh and unpicking his aesthetic style. At a time when his design career was in the doldrums he made the most wonderful watercolour landscapes in France. His very distinctive design aesthetic had parallels with the work of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele who were using oil paint. On this course I will show you how to draw inspiration from these artists to make our own original compositions more powerful and more successful.
