About the Event

Klimt is one of my all-time favourite artists and is a key artist in the diploma course. I love his symbolism, his pattern making and his love of surface decoration. He combined classic old master technique and radically different ideas such as the use of gold leaf and equa-luminescence in painting. I am a great admirer of Klimt’s landscapes but in this course we will concentrate on the figure paintings.
